Why do couples have babies?

Hi,

Now that I am going to become a father in just 2 months time i was wondering .... "why do couples have kids?"

these are the reasons that i can come up with :

-to procreate and keep the species going is ingrained in our DNAs
-to live your childhood once more through your children
-Couples dont know about birth control measures
-Birth Control fails
-Under family pressure
-to have someone take care of your business when you are too old
-to pass on your knowledge and wisdom to next generation
-to give grandchildren to your parents
-to not make the same parenting mistakes that your parents did
-to have a sibling for your kid.
-to give better life to your kids that what you had when u were a kid.

These are the reasons that I can think of!!

Lord Krishna with Gopi

I read Vinita Nangia's article published in the Sunday Times of India Supplement on 30th March '08 and I must say that I liked it a lot, but there is something which I think she need to know more about…….

This is the part where she wrote about “lust” / Gopi / Lord Krishna……….

I am reading some religious books like Harivans Puran / Bhagwat and at times listen to bagwat teaching of Sri Mridul Shastri….. and all I can say that the ras lila of Lord Krishna with Gopis was divine love and lust had nothing to do with it,

Lord Krishna was just 12 years old when he had Ras Lila with the Gopis of Vrindavan..... and Gopis were on all ages from young to old, even Lord Shiva came dressed as a Gopi to be in the Ras Lila.

Lord Krishna had 16108 wives with Rukmani being the senior most.....
but with gopis it was just pure love with Radharani being the senior most .....
